Total Defence Award and Home Team National Service Award

DSO clinched double honours in 2009, for the Total Defence Award and the Home Team National Service (NS) Award for Employers.

The Total Defence Award recognises employers and civil resource owners who have demonstrated strong support and made significant contributions towards National Service and Total Defence. DSO received the Award's highest honour - the Minister for Defence (MDA) Award, and was also inducted into the Minister for Defence Awards (MiDAs) League, to continue to serve as a leader and advocate of national defence.

DSO also received the top tier Home Team NS Award - the Minister for Home Affairs Award 2009. This award celebrates and rewards employers of Singapore Police Force and Singapore Civil Defence Force NSmen for their dedication towards the support of National Service activities.

These awards are testimony to our commitment to national defence, and our efforts in implementing human resource policies that faciliate our NSmen in fulfilling their National Service commitments.
