Emerging Systems Division The Emerging Systems Division focuses research and development on a broad spectrum of capabilities that are critical to the Singapore Armed Forces' (SAF) defence systems. These include antenna design and electromagnetics, as well as next-wave technologies in the areas of lasers and advanced materials. |

Information Division The Information Division focuses on capabilities and technologies to enable the SAF to effectively use information on the battlefield. This is to provide the SAF with high information assurance, superior exploitation of information and effective information system design and evaluation. Networks Division For the SAF's assured connectivity on the battlefield, the Networks Division delves into the development of robust communication systems and technologies. These include ad-hoc mobile networks, software-defined radios, secured communications and datalinks. |

DMERI@DSO The Defence Medical & Environmental Research Institute builds up technological capabilities for the protection against chemical and biological warfare agents. It also conducts research and development into combat care, human effectiveness, bio-technology and bio-engineering to enhance the safety, survivability and performance of our national forces in hostile battlefield environments. |

It manages and improves DSO's strategic relationship with its customers; and provides IT consultancy and support services to the various Divisions.
