The Information Security Research team has innovated a multi-disciplinary approach to the analysis of information security systems in the Ministry of Defence and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

Through many years of research into various technologies employed by state-of-the-art information security systems, the team developed a novel and powerful methodology to analyse information security systems. In adopting the approach, not only has the capabilities of the SAF been enhanced, the national information security infrastructure has also been significantly enhanced.

For their outstanding contributions to information security, the team is awarded the Defence Technology Prize 2006 Team (R&D) Award
