DSO has a long history of collaborating with universities both locally and overseas on defence-related projects. Our research programmes have resulted in interactions with both postgraduates and undergraduates, some of whom have gone on to pursue a R&D career with DSO.
The Research Collaboration component of the RISE programme aims to provide undergraduates with real world R&D experience as early as possible. DSO partners the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National University of Singapore (NUS) on the Undergraduate Research Experience on Campus (URECA) programme and Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme (UROP), respectively. Undergraduates under these programmes get to work with faculty members as well as DSO researchers.
