Aerosol Challenge on PPE

Project Description:
The project aims to develop capability for small and full scale evaluation of PPE against physical aerosols.

The challenge of the project: Establish the methodologies for homogeneous tagging of aerosol particles; evaluate and establish aerosol generation techniques; Sizing and quantitation of aerosols with different methods, e.g. fluorometry or APS. Optimize the aerosol generation parameters to attain a stable and sustainable concentration in an aerosol line and chamber. Understand the aerosol penetration profile through protective ensemble through the characterization of deposition velocities.
