High Resolution Spectral Estimation for Wireless Communications Applications

Discipline: Signal Processing, Mobile Communications

Project Description:
Spectral estimation forms an important part of mobile communications applications and obtaining an accurate frequency of the transmission signal is important for processes such as carrier recovery in the receiver. The objective of the project is to investigate into different high resolution frequency estimation algorithms for wireless communications signals.

The student will perform literature review, comparison studies, and analyse the performance of the developed algorithm using MATLAB in the simulation studies.

Pre-requisite:
Familiarity with programming in MATLAB,
Communications Theory and
K57Signal Processing Theory
