Device Simulation of Fast Power Devices

The project aims to:
Through device simulation to,
1) understand the physical phenomenon of high power fast turn-on/ turn-off devices.
2) optimize the doping and configuration of the power devices to achieve fast turn-on/ turn-off.

The challenge of the project:
Although fast power devices have been invented for more than 2 decades, the composition and the make-up of these devices have been proprietary knowledge. The challenge of the project is to come up with possible composition and make-up of these devices by using device simulation software to simulate the physical phenomena that takes place during fast turn-on /turn-off.

Pre-requisite:
Knowledge of MEDICI device simulation software
