Human-like Intelligence for Autonomous Ground Vehicles

Project Description:
Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) will play more and more important roles in both the civilian and military world. Such intelligent and autonomous systems will require smart/human-like intelligence & behaviors to execute tasks in a variety of situations.

The objective of this project is to develop smart algorithms (such as human-like reasoning & decision-making, path planning etc) and intelligent behaviors for autonomous ground vehicles, and to test these algorithms and behaviors on realistic simulated mobile robots.

In this project, the students will work with a team of multi-disciplined R&D engineers to research and develop state-of-the-art UGV intelligence and behaviors, and test the effectiveness of these technologies on robots under specific scenarios and terrains. Through this project, the students will learn, contribute, and gain experience in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics domains.

Pre-requisite:
Good working attitude,
Interest in algorithm development and
J39Basic programming skill in C/C++ would be an advantage
