Discipline: Signal processing

The project aims to:
Develop detection techniques based on seismic signals for human foot steps.

The challenge of the project:
Human foot steps signals are generally impulsive. It is a challenge to isolate these signals from other impulsive noises found in ground tremors. Need to identify unique features in the seismic signals that will enable the signal processing to distinguish foot steps.

Pre-requisite:
Interest in algorithm development, basic knowledge in signal processing, basic programming skill in MATLAB
