Spray Cooling Technique for High Power Laser Application

Project Description:
The project aims to: The objective is to design and evaluate using spray cooling technique for high power laser application.

The challenge of the project:
Effective heat removal from the laser system is very critical. One way to address the thermal requirement of the high power laser system involves the use of nozzle to maximize the cooling effectiveness. The heat transfer using this method may be greatly enhanced. So far, no commercial system has been demonstrated before.

This project is experimental in nature.

Basic Heat transfer and fluid mechanics knowledge
