Modelling Cortical Circuits for Visual Perception
 

Project Description :
This project attempts to model the six layer laminar structure of human neocortex, in particular through the LAMINART model developed by Stephen Grossberg. The student will continue the development of a LAMINART visualizer to show how bottom-up, top-down, and horizontal interactions are organized within cortical layers of the visual cortex to realize developmental and learning processes, abstract representation, perceptual grouping and attention.
