Project Description :
There are many commercial and military applications for inertia MEMS sensors. For example, accelerometers are used in automotives and gaming devices, while military grade ones are used in navigation purposes. This project will involve the design of accelerometers based on MEMS SOI technology and would potentially lead to a final year project if the student makes good progress.

Pre-requisite :
Potential candidates must be proficient in both hands-on fabrication and design. Prior knowledge in Solidworks, L-Edit, ANSYS or any FEM software tool is an advantage.
