Research@YDSP is so interesting. I learnt 100 times more than what was taught in school! Everyone was so friendly here and our mentor was especially nice to all of us. If given the chance, I will definitely come back next year.

Research@YDSP has been an enjoyable and enriching experience. Although the content of my research task was rather demanding, it was nevertheless rewarding to take away new bits of scientific knowledge after a laborious day in the Physics laboratory. Both my mentor and project mates have also provided me with valuable guidance and assistance, enabling me to benefit tremendously from this experience.

Research@YDSP has been very enriching for me. Under my mentor’s guidance, I gained much insight through my research project and it has inspired me to take on a R&D career in the future. Through the programme, I also made many friends from other schools.

Research@YDSP gave me a chance to do something that I will never get to do in school! It’s not just 3 months of fun research, but 3 months of exposure to Defence Technology with plenty of new friends!

The course was pretty neat with all its toys, and definitely lived up to YDSP's reputation for challenging the brightest students around.

World of Science, Aerodynamics module has been extremely enriching and enjoyable! This course has given me the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the field of aerodynamics and developed my interests in defence technology.

In World of Science, Photonics, we got to play with really cool toys such as a Q-switching laser. On top of that, we learnt new things about light that are out of our normal curriculum. Last of all, I’ve made new friends! Truth to be told, it was better than I expected! World of Science Photonics: “Let there be light!”

I have found the World of Science, Photonics module to be extremely enriching. I have gained new knowledge in areas such as polarization, light propagation and applications of lasers. These are areas that are very new and exciting to me. I also interacted with many ‘scientists cum mentors’ and had a better understanding of their work. All in all, WOS has been very beneficial.
