We take pride in what we do in DSO. Excellence is the hallmark of our work and one of our core values upon which we carry them out.

Defence Technology Prize

The DTP is the most prestigious award presented annually by the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) to outstanding teams and individuals who have contributed significantly towards enhancing the defence capabilities of Singapore.

In 2024, DSO won 5 awards:

1.	Dr Yee Jiong Sang - Individual (R&D) award
2.	V15 UAV Development Team - Team (R&D) award
3	Advanced Energetic Systems Team - Team (R&D) award
4	Advanced Information Security Team - Team (R&D) award
5	Advanced Language Processing Team - Team (R&D) award

Work-Life Excellence Award

DSO was commended with the Work-Life Excellence Award in 2014 by the Ministry of Manpower. This is a biennial award that pays tribute to employers for their successful implementation of work-life strategies in workplaces in Singapore.

DSO also received the Work-Life Achiever Award in 2012.

Other Awards

Total Defence Award and Home Team National Service Award

DSO clinched double honours in 2009, for the Total Defence Award and the Home Team National Service (NS) Award for Employers.

Singapore HEALTH Award

DSO is proud to be a recipient of the Singapore HEALTH Award (Excellence).
